Living Waters Ministries was founded in February 1987 by Pastors Bill & Marilou Stewart. In March of 1989 we moved into the Mayfair area at 7757 Frankford Ave. and are still here to date.  We are a Community oriented Ministry, that is geared to reach all ages. We believe in meeting people where they are and we offer a number meetings and Services to do that. Jesus met people where they were and accepted them; but He loves us all enough not to leave us there. We are a nurturing, developmental ministry. We very much believe everyone has their own unique place in the Body of Christ. Everyone is valuable and needs opportunity to function in their God given place.

We are a Worshiping Ministry; we believe God is calling His people to Worship Him in spirit and truth. Coming into the Presence of God is vital to our Christian experience. The Word goes forth at Living Waters with Anointing and Power. The Word of God is the standard that we live by and we give the Holy Spirit freedom to flow at Living Waters. We are a Family Church and we believe in having opportunities to fellowship and do things together. We are also an
Out Reach oriented ministry; our call is to go out to the high ways and by ways and compel them to come in, as scripture says. We have Ministries that do that; as well as evangelistic events.

Our heart is to reach the Community.

Our Vision is to reach the broken, lost and unchurched – to minister healing to the sick and set the captive free (Is 61 & Luke 4:18) - to loose the bonds of wickedness (Is 58:6) – to feed the hungry and clothe the poor (Matt 25:34-40) – to build up the body of Christ – to live victorious Christian lives – to promote unity through the Word, love & music in the Name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Tenents Of Faith

  1. The Scriptures Inspired: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason but not contrary to reason. (2Tim 3:15-17, 1Pet 1:23-25, Heb 4:12)
  2. The One True Godhead: The triune Godhead is comprised of three separate and distinct personalities: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit. (Matt 3:16-17, 2Cor 13:14, 1John 5:7)
  3. Man, His Fall and Redemption: Man was created good and upright, for God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness." But man by voluntary transgression fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. (Gen 1:26-31, 3:1-7, Rom 5:12-21)
  4. The Salvation of Man: Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (Ps 103:3, Is 53:4-5) being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For by grace we are saved through faith (Rom 3:24, Eph 2:8, Rom 10:8-10). The evidence of salvation: The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Holy Spirit (Rom 8:16); The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. (1John 3:23) Faith and works: Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works; however, our works will determine the rewards in eternity. (Rom 10:1-9, Eph 2:9, 2Cor 5:10)
  5. Baptism in Water: The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have really repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In doing so, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt 28:19, Acts 10:47-48a, Rom 6:4)
  6. The Lord's Supper: "For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you; that the Lord Jesus on the same night He was betrayed took bread; when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, 'Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.' In the same way also the cup, after supper saying, 'This cup is the New Covenant in My blood. Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.' But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread and drink of that cup." (1Cor 11:23-25, 28)
  7. The Promise of the Father: All believers are entitled to, and should expect and earnestly seek, the Promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all in the early Christian church. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. (Luke 24:49, Acts 1:4-8, 1Cor 12:1-31) This wonderful experience is distinct and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth. (Acts 2:38, 10:44-46, 11:14-16, 15:7-9)
  8. Baptisim & Evidence of the Holy Spirit: We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation, as a distinct aspect of the Christian foundational experience. (Acts 2:1-4, 8:14-17) We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit enumerated in 1Corinthians, chapters 12 through 14, manifested as the Holy Spirit wills. (1Cor 12:1-31, 13:1-13)
  9. The Church: The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Holy Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer, born of the Spirit, is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the Firstborn, which are written in Heaven. (Eph 1:22, 2:19-22, Heb 12:23)
  10. Total Prosperity: Spiritual: (John 3:3-21, 2Cor 5:17-21, Rom 10:9-10) Mental: (2Tim 1:7, Rom 12:2, Is 26:3) Physical: (Is 53:4-5; Matt 8:17, 1Pet 2:24) Financial: (3John 1:2, Mal 3:10-11, Luke 6:38, 2Cor 9:6-11, Deut 28:1-14) Social: (Prov 3:4, Rom 14:18)
  11. Blessed Hope: Jesus is coming again to gather all His saints to Heaven. (1Cor 15:51-52, 1Thes 4:16-17, 2Thes 2:1)
  12. The Lake of Fire: Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. The devil and his angels, the beast and false prophet, and anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire, which burns with brimstone. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (Rev 19:20, 20:10-15)
  13. The Millennial Reign of Jesus: The return of our Lord Jesus Christ with His saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scriptures promised. (Rom 11:25-27, 2Thes 1:7, Rev 19:11-16, 20:1-10) After this, there shall be a new Heaven and a new earth. (Rev 21)
